Joes Acco Star, or Star is a 19yo Sorrel Quarter Horse mare. We are offering Star up for free lease as a companion horse or possible broodmare, so if she doesn't work with your horse or things change and you can't keep her, she comes back to us. Star has been a broodmare her whole life but she has had some problems with her last 2 foals she had (see below on this). Star is a sweet mare but is kind of shy at first. She loves treats and to be pampered and brushed.

　　You can lead, bathe, braid, blanket, trailer, great for farrier, & fly spray Star. She is good with older kids but has never really been around smaller or more high energy kids. Star is kind of a boss mare and gets along best with geldings, but also gets along good with several of our mares. She is used to being in a stall or being turned out 24/7 with or without other horses.

　　She does have a old shoulder injury so is lame at times, but if you just want something to play with on the ground she is good. She has never been ridden as far as we know and with the old injury and age we don't want somebody to attempt to ride her.

　　We would keep her but we currently have too many and need to downsize and I currently don't have a steady job so she needs to find a new home.

　　***We would also consider a Breeding Lease on Star to someone experienced in raising foals. The problem we had with her last 2 foals was that she would not let them nurse, she wasnt mean though she would just walk away from them so we had to bottle feed both of them. But Star is a well bred mare and throws pretty, correct babies.
