My story
12/29/19 Fred was returned because he was going after the little dog in the home. Fred is a very high energy very vocal Siberian Husky. They need a job to do and require a lot of mental exercise and physical exercise even at -30 below or they can be very destructive when left alone. In just a few hours of alone time Fred destroyed a door frame and cried for hours! If you are an active person Fred would love to be a part of your family! We are requiring he meet all k9 members of his new family, and he cannot go to a home with any small pets such as cats, pocket pets, or small dogs under 20 pounds. Fred did do very well with the children in his home and is said to be house trained and kennel trained. *Fred was brought to the shelter as a stray dog so not much is known about his past. While at the shelter Fred has loved being outside even in -30 degree weather. He is a smart boy who uses his dog house to stay warm. He doesn't always keep his kennel clean so he may not be house trained and he might be used to being a mostly outdoor dog. Fred has been friendly but aloof with his animal tenders and seems to do okay with other dogs but doesn't always like other male dogs. We are encouraging mutuals with any existing k9 members of his new family to ensure he is a good fit.
