My story
Freckles came to us from Campbell County Animal Control where he came in as a stray. We noticed his wonderful personality right away and were able to take him into rescue the following week. He’s done wonderful in his foster home. He doesn’t chew anything that isn’t his, sleeps great through the night in his crate, he’s completely housebroken, loves everybody who walks through the door, is very treat motivated and currently we’re working on “bed stays”/heel/down etc.. He’s an absolute joy to work with! The other day we took him to the Leesburg Outlet Mall and he was a rockstar! We went into several stores and he greeted everyone with great manners. I was proud to be his handler. He’s been with many other foster dogs and has done very well. He plays a bit on the rough side and will need help from his owner to not allow that type of behavior. When meeting new dogs he’s insecure and will react (leash reactive) to them. We are working on this and he’s making great strides. Freckles is doing wonderful going to adoption events and learning that there are some seriously fun dogs out there that he can have fun with. I believe the sky is the limit with this dog. If you’re looking for a new buddy to spend your days with please contact us.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Freckles, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
