My story
08/04/21 Frank, formally known as Dingo, was surrendered back to the shelter due to fighting with the other dogs in the house when food was around. We are advising Frank's new owners to be cautious when Frank is around other dogs. We recommend feeding him separately to avoid food aggression. We are also requiring that Frank goes to a home without children under 5 years old because he can be a little rough when playing. Franks previous owner did state that he is potty trained and will `boop` you when he needs to go out. He knows a few basic commands such as here and sit. He is said to prefer men over women but does good with everyone. We still do not know how Frank does with cats or pocket pets. If Frank sounds like the boy for you please give the shelter a call! 05/15/21 Dingo was surrendered to the shelter because he was not getting along with the other male dog in the house and bit him. Dingo came into the shelter as an intact male, and will be neutered prior to becoming available which may reduce male on male dog aggression. He is said to do well with other dogs, just not his brother. Caution should be taken with any other introductions to dogs. He has been kept both inside and outside, and when the owner is not home he is kept inside. He is said to do well with adults and strangers, but we don't know how he would do with children or babies. We also don't know how this young man would do with cats, pocket pets or livestock, so please be cautious with any introductions that are made. Dingo rings a door bell when he needs to go out an go potty and also knows the command sit. Dingo is said to be housebroken, kennel/crate trained, rough when playing, outgoing and friendly and generally doesn't mind well. Dingo would love to go to a basic obedience class to learn some manners. Dingo has been such a delight while here at the shelter! He loves to cuddle with people and is very affectionate! If you think you are Dingo's next forever family, then please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt FRANK, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
