Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Health Notes | Healthy. In true resuce fashion, Gunner has a bit of everything! Gunner's DNA results are as follows: 40% Lab, 23% American pit bull terrier, 9% Staffordshire Terrier, 6% Great Pyreneese, 5% German Shepherd Dog, 4% Australian Cattle Dog, 2% Border Collie, 5% Chow, 4% Siberian Husky, 2% Chihuahua. Other Dogs:Pippen LOVES other dogs. Not a mean bone in his body. He wants to play a lot, but will listen when it is time to chill too.Cats | Not sureChildren | love loves loves kids. So happy to see my kids 10 and 8 and was great with younger kids too.Training | Crate trained but also roams free in the house. He sleeps on a dog bed next to the other dogs and sleeps perfect. House trained, learning waiting to eat. Knows sit, stay and learning other commands. Trained in less than a week to pee in our gravel area to prevent killing the grass. We are a no dogs on furniture house and he learned to stay off.Leash | Came with a harness and pulled, so we use a gentle leader and is much better. Learning how to walk and making huge strides.Activity Level | High and playful. After a few days in our house he's feeling more comfortable and able to play independently with toys. He loves to play with the kids and other dogs, but also content chewing on a Kong Personality | Typical Lab personality. Friendly, happy, playful, loyal. Not a mean bone in his body.Story | Gunner arrived in Colorado 9/27 and was previously in Oklahoma living with a foster family for 2 months after being found as a stray. He would do well with a family with kids of any age and other dogs. Don't think he had much training but is a super quick learner. Learned so many things in just under a week. Working on our manners.Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption.We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.
