If you want to drive with little to no carbon foot print this may be the truck for you. Here is some of the story on the truck, its a year 2000 FORD factory made Ranger and was part of a fleet at UC Davis, which was in operation only for a few years and then recalled because of the pressure put of the automobile industry by the big oil manufactures. FORD only made 1500 of these trucks, very rare! Please see the movie Who Killed The Electric Car...It was stored away by FORD for a few years and then finally purchased by the original battery manufacturer who installed a reconditioned NIMH battery and then sold the Ranger EV to me. I have owned it now for over 6 years with only 24,600 original miles on it. The range of the truck is 75 or 65 miles but will vary depending on driving conditions and driving style of the driver. In State of California, especially Los Angeles and San Francisco areas there is a great infrastructure to support EVs like this one, and there are free charging stations located all over the county in metro areas! I had the truck serviced at Ford recently in February and it does need some maintenance on one of the battery cells, this effects the over all performance range. All other systems tested excellent by Ford, I have the reports to prove it. Unfortunitely at this time, 1) I do not have the extra funds to do the repairs and 2) I do not have the space because of a downsized living situation. Therefore I am forced to sell this awesome truck. So if this truck is calling, you can own a piece of EV history and feel good about it...
