Fonzie's story
Meet Fonzie!! Fonzie traveled all the way from Thailand to get to the United States! He was rescued as a puppy from the Bangkok flood in 2011 and has been lucky enough to live on an elephant sanctuary in Thailand ever since. Fonzie was so excited to hit the puppy lottery and score a ticket all the way to Colorado!
Since arriving to Colorado, he has been learning and experiencing lots!! Fonzie's most recent discovery is the squirrels that use his foster mom's back fence as a highway. He now spends a lot of his day watching the the windows so that he can see his new squirrel pals. He loves suggling up to his foster brother and makes this incredibly adorable squinting face when the other big dogs are around as he knows he inevitably will get a happy tail swat to the face :)
Fonzie is a wonderful guy and continues to come out of his shell on a daily basis! Fonzie enjoys a calm, confident doggie pal, and would do great in a home with another dog. Fonzie has such a sweet, gentle personality and is super loving! He has learned that his sweater means it's time for a walk. He really enjoys his daily walks and walks great on the leash. Fonzie is very well mannered in the home and is potty trained too. He is also the perfect size for a house or an apartment at about 30 pounds.
Underdogs Rescue has partnered up with the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand to help save some of the 400+ dogs they have living on the sanctuary. While most of these dogs have come to the park following natural disasters or from situations some of us couldn't even fathom, these dogs are full of heart and ready to begin a new life in the US with a family to love them!! More information about ENP can be found on their website here: / Help us help them by fostering or adopting one or more of these sweet babies looking for a new life!
