My story
Introducing Flossy!!
She adores being held, her foster momma said she likes it best when you gently pick her up from her crate for a cuddle. Although she approaches her foster family while they are sitting, she tends to shy away if they call her or stand up to reach for her.
Flossy is a bit cautious around unfamiliar faces, often choosing to hide until she feels at ease. She's a relaxed eater, preferring to graze at her own pace.
She absolutely loves being outdoors in her foster home's fenced in yard. She prances around, joyfully exploring trees, shrubs, and flowers. She's also has shown interest in tennis ball. Currently, she's not a fan of her leash. During walks, she tends to resist. We believe with time and patience, she'll become more comfortable with the leash and enjoy her newfound freedom.
She finds solace in her crate when the door is open. In her foster home, they have observed that she is well-behaved when left alone in the house, and she willingly sleeps in her crate with the door ajar. Flossy is a bit shy around children but still does well, simply needing time to adjust to their approach. She did well with a smaller dog, suggesting potential for positive interactions with other pets.
Given her shy nature, a household with small children might not be the best fit unless they understand and respect her need for patience and space. She'll thrive with someone who can offer gentle understanding and give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe and secure.
In terms of potty training, she hasn't had any accidents indoors. She will give signs of needing to go out by pacing. She appreciates ear scratches and tummy rubs, truly enjoying these moments of affection.
Flossy is an incredible pup, and once she overcomes her shyness, she'll make a wonderful and loving companion. She has already adjusted well to her foster home; she simply prefers her own space within the household. She often curiously peeks around corners to see what's happening.
