　　Athena came to us because her owners sister had a stroke, and they can not take care of Athena anymore as they have to give care to the sister. Athena is great with people, and other dogs, but does not like cats or birds. She doesn't know her own strength, so she would not be a good fit with toddlers or young children, as she has been known to knock them over (but is friendly). At 8 years old, Athena is a senior girl. She has lost the home she lived in for most of her life, and now needs a place to spend her older years. But do not think Athena is going to sit around knitting...she likes to go for walks and is still very friendly and playful. As a senior, her adoption fee is only $150.
