Filmore's story
Filmore: 6 year old, black and rust, neutered male, natural ears and docked tail. 16" tall and about 20 pounds. Shots up to date, rescued from shelter.
No, he is not a Rottweiler puppy, although, I'm pretty sure there is a Rotty in his parentage. Filmore was surrendered to the shelter because his owners had no time for him. He was very frightened there and did everything he could to avoid everyone. He was reserved his first day back in a real house, but by the second day he started to come out of his shell. Filmore is a very sweet dog that has the best points of both breeds. He body is built like a tiny Rott but his head is all MinPin. He is loving and gentle with me and the other dogs in my pack. He will play with other dogs if they are nice about it. Filmore is a toy thief however. If he comes across a toy left out by one of the other dogs here, he gets very happy. He pounces on it, snatches it up and takes it to his favorite dog bed where he stores it with the others he has found. He pulls them out periodically to chew on them a bit and then puts them back for safe keeping. Filmore is house trained but hasn't quite figured out the dog door yet. He will wait until he is let out to go however. He is also crate trained but he is so well behaved there is no need for it. He will quietly sleep in a dog bed or on your bed if there isn't too much competition for a good spot. Filmore is always happy to see me and seeks me out for love and attention regularly. He waits patiently for his dinner and his turn for treats. He takes some time to get comfortable with new people so any adopter will need to be patient with him for the first day or so. You will be rewarded 10 fold for that patience though as he is a wonderfully behaved, loving and loyal dog.

Note: Filmore is located in Sacramento, CA. We will fly this boy in - cabin only with the adopter.
