My story

　　Say hello fo Fiji!! "Shash yazhi" means "Little bear" or "Bear cub" in Navajo - a fitting description for this darling little fluffer! This little warrior and her siblings faced a challenging start in life when they were surrendered to a small shelter on the Navajo Nation. The odds were stacked against them as the shelter's limited resources and lack of adopters meant euthanasia on intake. But fate had other plans for Fiji and she was scooped-up into our rescue. Fiji is having a blast in her foster home, surrounded by the love and care she so deserves. Fiji is the smallest in the litter but has the biggest personality! This girl will have you smiling with her brave, outgoing nature. 

　　Fiji spends her days frolicking with her littermates, playing with her toys and getting some love from her foster parents. When the weather allows, Fiji eagerly explores the great outdoors, discovering the wonders of the world around her. Come nighttime, Fiji finds comfort in a spacious puppy pen, where she shares dreams and cuddles with her brothers and sisters. A couple of the resident adult dogs have taken Fiji under their paw, teaching her the ropes of canine etiquette. This little girl is well socialized with adult dogs.

　　Being born in Indian Country, Fiji is a unique and charming purebred Mutt. While her DNA is a delightful mystery, potential breeds might include Labrador Retriever, Shepherd and many others.
