FIDGET's story
Fidget has been through the shelter twice in the past month. She was originally surrendered to the shelter with very little information provided about her. It was mentioned that Fidget was housebroken and kennel/crate trained and behaves well around other dogs and children. At the shelter, Fidget was a shy girl who was nervous with new situations and strangers, but once she understood what was expected of her and was more familiar with the people handling her she warmed up nicely.
Fidget was adopted and returned to the shelter after two weeks because her new owners discovered she had a VERY high prey drive and was chasing the cat in the home. Fidget''s most recent owners said she did wonderfully with other dogs, respectful children, was housebroken and generally well behaved in the house. The one thing she had an issue with was strangers in the home- she would bark insistently when friends she did not know would come over, but was not aggressive.
Fidget would likely enjoy an active home that is interested in working with her on confidence building- showing her how much fun adventures are, and that new situations and people are awesome! Fidget would benefit from puppy classess so that she can bond with her new family and learn the routine of the household. Fidget is a young dog with a big heart that just needs to be shown the world- if you want to get out and about with Fidget, ask for a visit today!
