My story
Meet Fianna! She is named after ancient Irish female warriors, and does she live up to her name! This brave and tough girl was living as a stray in a mobile home park in Greeley and being fed by some residents. The Alliance became involved when they were called to the mobile home park to assist a cat with a broken jaw. A staff member took one look at matted and thin Fianna and knew they had to step in. Fianna had a great relationship with the person feeding her. She would come into the house and enjoyed pets.
Once the Alliance got her in their care and performed a stray hold, she was then shaved, spayed and all other medical treatments were performed. The mat on her back was the same size as her and her skin was red and hurting underneath. After all the results came in, Fianna was FeLV +. On top of her already difficult life, she was dealt yet another blow. Fianna can live with other FeLV + cats, no other cats or dogs. She is still VERY shy and needs a person to help her continue to build on her base of getting to know and trust humans. We know this is asking a lot of any adopter, but we believe she is worth it. She has been through so much, this will hopefully be her last change to experience, and this one will be the best one yet. Please ask about her today!
