My story
Fianna is a gorgeous girl who is looking for a special adopter. Alliance staff found this beauty when they responded to an area in Weld County on a report of an injured cat. Fianna's beauty was masked by the fact that all of her long hair was essentially one big mat. Fianna was able to come and go in and out of her caretaker's home, and her caretaker wanted her to get the medical attention she needed and the home she deserved, and staff knew she had to come with them.
Fianna struggled in the shelter, but she is blossoming in her foster home! Fianna (almost) always loves to be petted, and when content she purrs like a lioness. She has even recently started meowing to her foster with the most adorable tiny meow. Fianna loves to spend her days laying with her paws crossed or looking out the window, watching carefully so she doesn't miss a thing going on outside. She is starting to get really curious about everything, but she is still on the shy side, so she is looking for a patient adopter who will allow her to come out of her shell on her timeline.
The other reason Fianna needs a special adopter is that she has feline leukemia (FeLV). FeLV is a virus that is contagious to other cats, so Fianna must go to a home either with no other cats or with other cats who are also FeLV+, and she must be an indoor only cat. The FeLV virus is not contagious to humans or other animals, and Fianna seems very curious about the dogs in her foster home!
If you think you might be the special adopter Fianna is looking for, please ask about her today!
