This is Evan!

　　He is an adorable kitten with special needs.

　　Just dont tell him that. He runs, jumps and plays just like his brother and sister do.

　　Our little Mutant Ninja Kitty has special powers and special needs. Evan is missing three toes! He only has three claws on his left paw and four on his right paw. His right leg is shorter and is paw is tiny.

　　While this makes him cute, and a little like Captain Hook, unfortunately it also means he may have a genetic mutation that is causing other physical and neurological

　　issues.

　　Whether it be congenital like his paw mutations, or from something like traumatic tail pull injury, he has unrepairable caudal spine nerve root separation and caudal paralysis. He has no mobility limitations. He uses the litter box, but he has no anal tone for release or control.

　　Because he can't move his tail out of the way feces

　　gets stuck, and then left around the floor and walls as he sits or moves around.

　　Yup, diapers are a necessity!

　　"Tail pull injury" could also be from a pull; being stepped on; a heavy object falling on it; a car running over it; he could've gotten caught in something when running away to hide; or he could have been born this way. We only know he's been this way since we found him (about 6 weeks old) in an inner city alley. If he wasnt rescued, he very likely would not be alive today! His real Mom would not have continued to clean him like his foster Mom has been. And he might have been left behind as the weakest link.

　　We know there is a special and experienced diaper kitty family out there who has the time to care for Evan, and can give him the chance to live a long, happy life!
