Emmy is a young gal, very sweet, but gets excited to see you so needs some more training with her jumping manners. She is smart so she pick up basic commands quickly. Emmy knows the command sit, but doesn't hold the position long. We know she has the ability to learn with some time and patience. When you pet her belly and give her attention, she's a much calmer gal.
Emmy is close to a year old and weighs 53 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, de-wormer, and flea/tick prevention and also on heartworm prevention.
For adoption inquiries, please contact Kelly, our Adoption Coordinator, at [email protected] or inquire directly via Petfinder. We are a volunteer-based humane society; please be patient with our response time to your inquiries. We are not able to assess dogs with cats since we are a small, rural shelter set up for dog intake only. We may be able to provide an opinion on how a dog may get along with cats, but behavior in your home is unknown until they would be properly introduced under supervision. For inquiries regarding a dog's behavior with small children, the majority of our shelter dogs are unclaimed strays & we have limited or no history. We always recommend a meet and greet with our dogs available for adoption.
Taylor County is rescue friendly! If you are a rescue, please contact our Rescue Coordinator, Diana, at [email protected].
We are always in need of donations to help care for our dogs. Please email us at [email protected] for info regarding brands we try to consistently feed our adult dogs and puppies.
