Ellie S's story

　　Ellie S. is an adorable Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix with lots of love to give! Ellie loves getting belly rubs, snuggling on the couch, and going on adventures! She is a playful, energetic girl who also loves playing fetch, running outside, and exploring new places. She needs a large fenced in yard where she can explore and play but also needs to be an inside dog that gets to cuddle on the couch with her humans often. Ellie needs an active family or owner to spend time with her and take her on adventures as she does have a high energy level. Ellie is perfectly content keeping herself busy with toys, stuffed animals, and bones, but most of all enjoys being around her people getting head scratches, hugs, and affection. Ellie is house trained and crate trained and while she does like to "de-stuff" her toys she has never chewed up anything in the house that she wasn't supposed to be playing with. Ellie is working on basic training, knows how to sit, and will run to the door when she has to go outside. She would do great with continued obedience training and seems to be a fast learner. If her owner were into agility or agility training, we think Ellie would be a super star with that!! In order to qualify to adopt Ellie, you MUST be experienced with the breed (Border Collie and/or Australian Shepherd) - this is non-negotiable. In order to thrive, she needs to be an only dog and she cannot be placed in a home with cats.
