No, Sherlock Holmes never said it. Not exactly. Holmes made a deduction to which Watson exclaimed, "Excellent!" and Holmes replied, "Elementary."
In any case, our particular Dr. Watson is affable, roundish, and middle-aged (eight years), as is his namesake. We rescued our dear Watson from Yolo County, where his gift for introspective problem-solving was over-run in the usual chaos of a county shelter. However, as soon as he found a foster home in San Francisco, he regained his love of ball-playing, though he's not yet lost his penchant to overindulge at tea-time.
However, since he walks so nicely on leash, and is so contented in the company of younger dogs, we expect he will soon be slim enough to fit into his best dinner jacket.
Meticulous as ever, he does look forward to a thorough teeth-cleaning, which Family Dog Rescue will spring for --and to which any kind reader is invited to contribute--before or during his adoption.
Heart-worm negative, up to date on shots, the good doctor is ready to go to his convivial and forever home, where he should soon accumulate enough walkies to decline in poundage from 26 to 15--or so.
If you would like to meet one of our dogs, please go to our web site: http://norcalfamilydogrescue.org and fill out an adoption questionnaire.
You can find out about our non-profit rescue organization and policies there. At the top of our homepage, you will see a menu, including foster and adoption information. As we are San Francisco-based, you must live in Northern California to adopt or foster one of our rescues--you must be able to meet the dog in person.
But FIRST, we need to know about you so as to match up the right potential adoptee with the right potential adopter!
No fee to foster and we provide support as needed.
Your adoption donation/fee is tax deductible and includes up to date shots, a free wellness exam in San Francisco, and spay/neuter.
Once we have processed your information, we will contact you as soon as possible. Thanks!
