This programmer is fun !!! It will actually waken your 5.3 for sure. I used it for economy in my Yukon XL and it helped immensely-almost 1.5 mpg, which doesn't seem like much however it accumulates in these trucks, it has 4 modes to pick from and it works incredible. I sold the truck for a more recent one and this will just fit 2 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0. The system depends on date and ready to go.
