Eddie's story

　　Hello I'm Eddie! I am a super sweet, very playful boy. I am incredibly smart and have learned many commands in the short time I've been at GHHS (sit, stay, watch, down, up, shake, drop it, leave it...). I may seem a bit distant to you at first, but you'll be amazed at how quickly I bond to people and when I fall in love with you, I just want to nuzzle you and roll over for belly rubs! I am stubborn sometimes, likely because of my breed, and because I don't get the attention a smart dog like me needs here at the shelter, and I'm too smart for my own good sometimes! But that would be different in a home with someone who will be firm with me, and give me clearly defined boundaries. I respond very well to strong leadership and a commanding partner who tells me what to do but still understands me and loves me for my adorable quirks. All I need is someone who is willing to spend the time with me to develop a relationship and create the bond that I need, and I will be your best friend and most loyal companion.

　　Eddie's owner should be strong, firm, confident, and experienced, willing to spend a little bit of training time with him when they adopt to set rules and boundaries. He will amaze you with how smart he is and the things he picks up on and how fast he learns anything you want to teach him. If you're willing to be firm and guide him, he will listen and respect you immediately and love you forever. He is a very happy boy who loves his people and wants them to love him too. He just has a bit of an attitude becuse he is so smart! He will challenge you but he will listen very well to you if you are confident and show him you're in charge, not him.
