While prosecuting the case of a teen involved in the beating death of a fellow teen, assistant district attorney Ben Lovison discovers the existence of the clandestine crime syndicate, Fathers Disciples and its enigmatic leader known only as "Father". Ben soon learns that the syndicate controls the city, including the district attorney's office and may have been responsible for his mother's death and the disappearance of the father he never met. Worse, the syndicate has somehow ensnared him in a decades-long citywide corruption scandal. The FBI, investigating the syndicate for numerous crimes including drug trafficking and murder, is ready to bring it and "Father" who they believe to be Mayo Fathers, down. Fathers was Ben's father-figure during his teen years and he still runs Ben's childhood home, Fathers House, a place for wayward boys. To find out the truth about Mayo Fathers and to prove his own innocence, Ben has to revisit his past and find answers at Fathers House all while trying to stay one step ahead of a syndicate who wants him dead and the FBI who wants him in custody.
