Dwayne's story

　　DWAYNE! Or D-Wayne as I like to call him lol. This guy is a "senior puppy"- that dog that just never grows up. And why should he? Being grown up is boring! Dwayne is 7 yrs young with a gray muzzle and the heart of a pup. He's an active and goofy guy who looooooves his tennis ball! When he wants you to throw it, he will drop it at your feet. Otherwise, he carries it around chewing on it and working up quite the collection of slobber. ;-)

　　Dwayne is a smart dude and already knows "sit," "paw" and "down" He does tug on the leash, but that's just because he is so excited to GO! Dwayne came into the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about his history. He is a large dude that sometimes forgets his manners (ie jumps up), but he is very responsive to verbal cues and will listen when told no.

　　Dwayne may do best as the only pet in the home, so a dog intro is required if you have another animal already. You can visit Dwayne at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Dwayne's $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.
