Dumplin's story
Dumplin: You might be wondering why such a darling, soft, orange lady like this is marked as special needs, but we're just trying to make sure she goes to the right home! Though totally normal, lazy, playful, adorable, Dumplin can also become easily overstimulated when playing or being handled. She tends to let you know when she's done with being pet with a flick of her tail and bent back ears, so it's easy to learn how she communicates and give her space if need be. Generally she doesn't use claws, but she does have them, so in this case we would advise that she not be placed into a home with very young children who are still learning about animal boundaries or a home with dogs.
Dumplin was a surrender who, once torn from her home and family, was terrified and untrusting of new people. After months of time in her foster home, Dumplin is thriving in her new cat pack, curious to meet new people, and really hoping to find a forever home that will love her and provide the safe space she needs despite her little quirks!
Though she does get along well with other cats, males are preferred, or hey, if you're willing to open you're heart so much as to consider adopting Dumplin and might want a companion cat, her favorite boyfriend Boo is also for adoption through Castaway Cats
