Doug's story
+++++++++++COURTESY POST+++++++++ **Doug is currently being fostered in Rockport, TX - meaning meeting him in person prior to his adoption may not be possible. He is available for local or out of state/area adoptions. His rescuer will discuss transport options with the adopter** Doug is a great dog. He was an owner surrender to our local Animal Control ( kill shelter) when his owner died of cancer. No one in the family stepped up to take him. He loves to go for walks and the off leash dog park. He likes other dogs. Doug is good around young kids and his foster mom reports that he is a great snuggler on the couch and likes to help her when she bakes cookies! Doug is a great size at 40 pounds and has a short coat which is easy to maintain . He is completely vetted ( will be neutered on 8/31) and is heartworm negative. No one has been able to find any faults with this guy....he is just quite a gentleman and all around great guy! We think Doug is a Beagle/lab/cow dog mix, but who really knows? We do know he is about 1-2 years old, lovable, house trained, crate trained, does well on a leash and is looking for a forever home! Please contact Joy Dias (foster) at
