Head and foot boards are completed on all sides. It has been skillfully refinished, cared for, and lovingly used for past 30 years. Was informed this is either American or english. The frame is heavy metal/iron with bolts (see pix). This design is similar to Stickley. 4 wood slats included for bed mattress support. Wood has been refinished.
