My story
Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization.
AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area.
AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
We are currently accepting adoption applications for Dottie.
Dottie has completed her final vetting and is ready to schedule meet and greets.
She is looking forward to joining her furever family in her furever home.
Dottie was found on the side of the road in rural Kentucky.
Whoever tossed her aside like garbage, did so with her plastic, decrepit travel crate…didn’t even take the time to right it and allow her in.
She was found, subject to the traffic and the elements.
She was picked up by a Good, no, GREAT Samaritan who took her home and posted her on social media, and in local venues, attempting to find her rightful owners.
No one came for her.
The Samaritan then posted for a rescue and Almost Home Foster Kennels stepped up, vetted her, and had her transported to Minnesota.
Dottie, by Veterinarian assessment is approximately 7-8 years of age.
She is 24#.
She is a quiet, well-mannered lady looking for a quiet, loving, compassionate family.
A retired couple would be wonderful, and Dottie would complete their family.
Dottie is crate-trained.
Loves to snuggle with her humans.
She is doing very well is potty-training; needs her routine established and consistency.
Dottie is submissive and low energy.
We are looking for a family where at least one member of the family is a stay-at-home or works from home pet parent; a family that can help Dottie acclimate to her new surroundings and environment.
Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application.
If interested in meeting Dottie, please request an adoption application/agreement via email:
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dottie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
