Donny's story

　　Hello all you special needs adopters, you will love easy going Donny!

　　Hes a little bit rock and roll! Donny doesnt let his challenges prevent him from being a typical GSD puppy. He likes to play, wrestle, chew and have a good time. Donny and his sibling, Marie, were in a shelter with little chance of adoption when Saving Paws stepped in to save them. Both have been diagnosed with Bilateral Straight Leg. The condition affects both hind limbs that do not allow the joints to flex in a way that is needed to have a normal gait. It doesnt mean that they cannot walk. Donnys condition is more significant, but with all the efforts of his foster family and volunteers, he is actually able to be mobile without his wheelchair for short periods! Donny is a big goofball and loves everyone and dogs. He uses his wheels and he fast in them. Donny is still a GSD puppy so he is best in his exercise pen when left for any period of time. Donny , aka "Hog Boy", is a garbage disposal per his foster - he loves to eat! Donny is working on his leash skills too, so obedience work can still be modified with this dog. The biggest thing the fosters want you to know is that Donny and his sibling Marie are adaptable and really have very few limitations than any of their other dogs. Non-skid rugs or Yoga mats work amazing to help him move around.
