　　Not everyone can say that they were rescued by the California National Guard, but our Ryan can! As a lost cat abandoned at the PSPCA Center, Ryan probably thought climbing up a tree seemed like a good idea at the time. Ryan was rescued twice that day; the first time by a Guardsman willing to climb a tall ladder to retrieve Ryan from his treetop perch, and the second time by the Placer SPCA. How do you top that? Why, by finding a forever and loving home! Ryan is a big handsome boy, formally attired in a black and white tuxedo. Ryan may be boldly colored on the outside, but Ryan is as sweet and soft as the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man on the inside. Ryan is shy and sensitive, so he appreciates being given a little extra time to get acquainted. But once he gets to know you, Ryan purrs and eagerly nudges your hand for more petting. And once he gets settled, Ryan enjoys being petted, sitting on your lap for attention, or just hanging out with you for some relaxing conversation. Ryan is a quiet and low-key cat who needs a quieter home. Ryan will probably get along with other pets that are as gentle as he is, and older children aged 10+ who will handle Ryan respectfully.
