Domestic Short Hair - Quivey - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat
Handsome Quivey is in high spirits even after experiencing a rough few months. Quivey was originally brought in to the HSSA because he was believed to be suffering from liver failure. Poor Quivey was really feeling down in the dumps, but after lots of testing and extra care at the HSSA, his future is looking bright. Quivey has a history of hepatic lipoidosis, which occurs when the liver becomes overwhelmed during periods of starvation. Following antibiotic therapy and diligent feedings, Quivey has gained some weight and his liver values have returned to normal. His prognosis is good, and he is feeling much better! This charismatic red tabby hasn't let his past hinder him - he bounds to the front of his kennel to say hello to visitors, and will ask politely for pets and scratches. Quivey would prefer a home with no other cats, but he has done well with dogs in a previous home. This sweet guy is so happy for his second chance at life, and he wants to spend it snuggling with you!
