　　Maries first year of life has been very full! Marie was pregnant and about to give birth when she was rescued by a caring person at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado (NAB Coronado). She was brought to the Coronado Animal Care Facility where she gave birth to six gorgeous kittens. Marie and her brood girls Jubilee, Karma and Pixie and boys Bishop, Husk and Magento were quickly enrolled in our Itty Bitty Kitty Program and transferred to a foster home until they were all ready for adoption. Marie is just about a year old a kitten having kittens. But that didnt stop her from being a good momma cat. She was attentive, loving and patient and gave her kittens all of the skills and lessons a good mom should an illustration of her wonderful nature. Marie is an extremely social cat, so it is believed that she once lived in a home. She is a gentle loving cat who looks everyone right in the eye and asks them to spend time with her. This pretty Tuxedo girl is graceful and willowy as she sashays around a room. Her foster mom says that Marie has been quick to learn the way of her foster home, places she is allowed to go, things she should stay away from, etc.. She adds: She does take a minute or two to warm up to strangers, but is always willing to be petted or brushed. She isn't much of a cuddler, or one to be held, but she is always up for kisses and head bumps. She is still a kitten and will get a bit playful. There's no need for a TV first thing in the morning because watching her play with her toys is entertainment enough! She's very talkative! She'll greet you at the door at the end of a long day, to ask you how your work is going, and sometimes wants to have late night chats. Marie really is a wonderful kitty and I'm sure she can adapt to any new surroundings and still be just as cheerful and happy. She has filled out a bit, but in a healthy way. No more skin on bones!
