　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This beautiful young lady is Jenny, a short-haired gray and white petite girl. She's approximately 2 1/2 years old (will be 2 years, 5 mos. around 8/30). Jenny is a very sweet, low-energy girl. She's calm and gentle, and should do well around children who can gently handle her. We aren't sure how well she'd do around dogs. Jenny and other tiny kitten littermates were rescued in a tornado-damaged area of Tuscaloosa on April 27th, 2011, and were bottle-fed by volunteers. Jenny has always been around people and knows she's meant to be a part of a family. Visit our cat adoption center to meet Jenny!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors (19 and under, in the state of Alabama). Read up on our adoption process .
