　　Throughout this summer 2012, the Humane Society of West Alabama wants to increase my chances at finding my forever home by reducing my adoption fee! Email my rescue group or stop in to meet me!

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments.

　　These animals are not for sale - they are up for adoption. We do not hold/reserve animals, nor do we adopt on a first come, first serve basis. We adopt to the best applicant at our own pace. We don't do same-day adoptions, no exceptions.

　　Please meet this handsome little energizer bunny named Diego! He's a short-haired solid black male kitten, approximately 10 weeks old (6/22/12). Diego loves to play! He loves all toys, especially noisy or catnip-filled toys! Diego also loves zipping in and out of kitty tunnels and condos, and loves kitty scratching posts - no worries about where he'll be scratching, because he loves the scratching posts and cardboard pads made just for kitties! Diego loves using his cuteness to gain everyone's attention, especially when he thinks he's about to "pounce" on a toy mouse or jump an incredible 2 ft. to the next condo! He's irresistibly cute, so please stop in at our cat adoption center to meet Diego and all his buddies!

　　Negative for FIV and FeLK and current on vaccinations.

　　Since Diego is too young to be neutered, an additional $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption to reinforce state law for all shelter animals to be fixed before or after adoption - out-of-state adopters are not an exception to the law. The spay/neuter deposit is refunded later upon delivery of proof (a certificate or vet records) that the kitten has been fixed. Pediatric spaying/neutering is an option to discuss with your vet around 4 months of age.

　　Our adoption fee is temporarily reduced to only $50, a fee to help defray a fraction of vet costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care, and are not available for adoption until they are cleared by one of our trusted local veterinarians.
