Domestic Short Hair - Black - Coal - Medium - Young - Male - Cat
Heather and Coal are now with Tucson2Tails, a no-kill rescue. They are still a little timid, and will need a patient human to continue showing them love. Contact Tucson2Tails at [email removed] or visit them online at http://tucson2tails.blogspot.com/ or /pages/Tucson2Tails/915 . Coal and Heather were found at a remote industrial area, scared and hungry. As soon as the caretaker knelt and called "Kitty, kitty", Coal came bounding toward the kind human with food in her hand. Out from the faraway bush popped another kitty, and followed Coal's lead. They had never been seen there before, and the resident feral cats were acting differently. The caretaker was certain they had been dumped. Both cats were scared, but Coal warmed up within a day or two, purring, head-butting, winding himself around our legs, rolling on his back for tummy rubs. Yet they're both a little shy and distrustful at first, and weren't used to being inside a home. We figure they had been born to someone's outside cat, and the kittens not handled much. They certainly know that humans are the food source, and felt safe enough to come right over for help. Coal is highly adoptable and absolutely cute as a bug! He'll take a few days to get to know his new human family and will be shy at first. But he's acclimated very quickly in two different foster homes, so we're sure it will only take a day or two in his adopted home, and he'll be a very social kitty. Please submit an online adoption application if you are interested in meeting Coal. We only adopt within the Phoenix metropolitan area. If you are out of the area, we recommend searching Petfinder for a pet waiting in a shelter near you, by clicking here . All of our animals are homeless when they come to us. We don't know their history or pedigree. Breed and descriptions are our best guess, based on appearance and sometimes personality traits. We cannot guarantee their information. If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider making a donation to help us continue to care for cats such as this one. We do not recover any costs associated with spaying and neutering, and often treating illness or injury, and the lifelong feeding of many other cats who are not as lucky as this one.
