　　Isabella's Story:

　　Isabella has traveled a rough road in her short life. When she came to Ohana animal rescue she was severely under weight and showed signs that lead us to believe she was rarely socialized with people or other dogs. She has since gained weight and is learning to be a dog again! She can take a while to warm up and trust new people but once she does she will follow you everywhere. Emotional scars run deep so she does have moments where she will cower if she hears a sharp noise or if someone makes a quick gesture. But with positive reinforcement she comes back around quickly.

　　She will need a home that is understanding of her trust issues and patient with her as she may never get over her insecurities and may have times where she is afraid. Trust, love and patience will help her forget her rough past.

　　Temperament: Somewhat Submissive

　　Notes about Temperament: With humans she is submissive but with dogs she is very playful and energetic.

　　Notes about Resource Guarding: When Isabella fist came to us she was severely under weight so any and all food or treats she received she guarded and devoured in seconds. Now that she is being fed regularly and at a healthier weight her tenancies to guard her food/treats has diminished.

　　Notes about dog selectiveness/animal aggression: Isabella is not dog selective but she is very playful and energetic around other dogs. She likes to romp and play with them so she would do best with another dog who will not mind her jumping and playing with them.
