Dixie's story

　　Dixie started out as a family's Christmas present. Yep! You guessed it! It didn't work out for this precious little girl, so she ended up at the shelter with reports that she was aggressive toward the children of the family as well as the family's other dogs. At only four months of age, I would guess that such behavior was the misinterpreted actions of a puppy during playful periods. My own family's dogs wrestle, scuffle, growl, and play bite almost constantly, but they also lie down and sleep together in the sweetest piles of canine flesh one could ever imagine! I spent a considerable amount of time in the yard with Dixie while I was photographing her, and with me, she was absolutely adorable, very affectionate and loving, and at times even begging to get in my lap and snuggle. Dixie is probably a terrier mix. This precious baby has the prettiest posture ever, with a smooth, honey colored coat, and gorgeous pale green eyes. Having been turned in to the shelter by her owner, she is available for immediate adoption. Dixie has a committed foster, so visits with her will need to be scheduled through the shelter.
