　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's "Home for the Summer" campaign aims to find homes for as many pets as possible! During the months of June & July 2013, we've reduced adoption fees to only $45 for all adult cats 1 year and older! Help us make this their best summer ever - by winning a loving family!

　　This gorgeous light dusting of Tortie is Ella, a female Dilute Tortoiseshell. Ella is vet-estimated between 6 and 8 years of age. She's a very sweet and affectionate lady! Ella is more of a people companion, but will adjust to another cat or two. She would need a little patience with her adjustment to other animals, but things run pretty smoothly and quickly! She'll adjust to any loving home!

　　Ella was on the brink of death in our city shelter, but a volunteer foster home took her in and helped Ella pull through! Thyroid conditions should never limit a life! Ella could stand to put on some weight, so we're fattening her up on canned food! Yum! She's a very beautiful girl with a near-death experience - after surviving the April 27th storms in one of the damaged areas! Ella is looking for a patient and understanding home with lots of love, so please come in to meet Ella! 　　Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and has been spayed.

　　Our adoption fee is $75, a fee to help offset vet and general care expenses . Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible. Vet records are provided to adopters.
