My story

　　Diesel is a 10-month-old male Shepherd/Pointer mix who has already been neutered. He came to PAHS as an owner turn in because his owners could no longer take care of him. Diesel is mostly white but has quite a bit of black markings. He also has some brown markings on his head and face. Diesel is a good looking guy who has enormous and comical ears. Those ears have many different looks and they are most entertaining as you watch them! Diesel also appears to have a big goofy grin most of the time. He currently weighs 38 pounds so he is considered as a medium sized dog. Diesel is a very good natured dog who enjoys any attention you give him. He is leash trained but could work on his manners while on a leash. Diesel is a high energy fellow who would loved to have a nice fenced yard where he could safely play. Due to his extreme playfulness we believe he would do best in a family without small children under the age of six. Diesel would never intentionally hurt a child but in his exuberance for life he might knock a child down. He is good with other dogs. Diesel is such a great dog! With a patient owner who is willing to spend time with him Diesel's has great potential to be a wonderful new family member for some lucky adopter. ****Please note that when introducing a new dog into a home with children and other pets adult supervision is strongly recommended until the new dog settles in with the family.****Dogs may be adopted for $120. Cat adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
