My story

　　Dexter is a 1-2 year old, 10lb Chiweenie.  Dexter was in a high kill shelter in Texas that gets almost zero foot traffic.  Dexters only shot out of the shelter alive was to come to CO to find his loving family.  Dexter has now been in CO for a little while and is ready to find his perfect forever family.  Dexter came in very shy and nervous but quickly warmed up to his foster family.  His fosters exact words within a couple of hours of him being there were "HE IS SO SNUGGLY".  He is such a sweet boy with so much love to give.  He gets along well with other dogs and people, but needs a little patience to warm up.  He is doing well on potty training but will need his forever family to be patient with him as he masters it.  Dexter would do well in a home with another dog or respectful kiddos.  We don't know how he does with cats but it doesn't seem like he would have an issue with them.  Dexter would be perfect for a family who wants a snuggle buddy and can also get their dog daily exercise and mental stimulation.  He has the long Dachshund body and the cutest years that could like he could just fly away. If you are interested in adopting sweet Dexter, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com##1253937##
