My story

　　ATTENTION: All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs. If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to and complete an application. We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Dewey is a 3 year old, 69 pound boxer pit mix . Dewey is a sweet, good-natured boy who loves his people and the other dog in his foster home. He is a good eater, treat motivated and knows how to sit, lay down, shake, roll over, drop it, leave it and is potty trained. Dewey loves toys and is great at fetching and returning a ball. He sleeps in his dog bed at night and is crate trained. Hes an absolute love bug! He loves to snuggle with his humans. He is amazing on a leash and doesnt pull. He Has worked with a trainer and his new adopter will need to complete at least one session with the trainer to ensure his new skills follow into his new home. He will need an experienced dog owner. Training must be provided in a timely fashion ( within 30 days ) to ensure he continues his progress. Dewey is great with dogs he knows and is very good with them, but is unsure of dogs he doesnt know. He isnt a dog park type of dog. He will do best with older mature kids if there are any in the home. Dewey's adoption fee is $250 plus a $100 refundable training deposit. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to and complete an application today!
