Desi's story

　　Meet Desi 5744

　　This is a gentle, sweet natured canine whose eyes say it all: respect, thankfulness, kindness and joy. When 7-month-old Desi and his sister, Lucille, arrived at the Humane Society, they were lost and forlorn, emaciated, and their faces were devoid of anything except emptiness without any hope for the future. Two weeks of delectable healthy nutrition and the caring, loving compassion of HS volunteers reignited the spark of optimism as Desi and his sister began to hold their heads high as they once again walked with confidence and pride. Watching their recovery and their peaceful acceptance of their journey filled all the HS volunteers with gratitude and wonder. The courage that our canine friends reveal is a true gift that is intended for every human. Desi has a laid-back, easy-going attitude toward life, nicely blended with a soft, kind-hearted persona and non-stop smiles for everyone. Both Desi and his sister, Lucille, are up for adoption at the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR.
