PLEASE do not ask me if this is still available, I will remove this ad as soon as it's sold, thank you.
It does fender cleans, crunchy distortion, and an almost vox like overdrive, and it does them all at any volume level- great for just about any kind of guitar based music.
The good:
It sounds great, very warm as you would expect from a tube amp, and has tons of features including: a foot-swtichable effects loop, tone boosts, reverb (also foot-switchable), and a 50% power switch for practice volumes. It's been gigged with most of it's life and has been completely reliable through all of it- very well made from what I can tell.
The bad:
Ugly (refer to pictures), heavy, has a few nicks and smudges in the tolex (again, it's been gigged with for the last 10+ years) and the designated clean channel (also foot-switchable) hasn't really worked since I bought it. That being said, with the overdrive knobs (gain and drive) turned down, this thing sounds just as clean as a twin and takes pedals very well- i've never had the issue fixed because I've never needed to, and I play clean almost exclusively, using pedals for all of my distortion needs.
The reason it's being sold is to offset the purchase and servicing of an amp that's better suited for bass, and I will definitely miss it once it's gone.
The bluebook value for these last time I checked (a couple months ago) was $500- my price reflects the inability to switch channels, and I'm willing to negotiate it a little.
Shoot me an email, or you can give me a call ( , or ) and we can arrange a time for you to try this thing out.
Thanks!
