My story

　　Oh, hi. My name is Dave and I am pretty sad today. You see I had an owner that I loved, but he passed away from COVID and there was no other place I could go except the shelter. Oh, not that I am complaining! Everyone here has been just great! Good food, lots of nice folks that take care of me, and a nice bed to sleep on. Sigh.....It's a lot to take in....Anyway the shelter is helping me find a new home. I am a five-year-old Bassett hound/terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. It seems that I am heartworm positive. That means whoever adopts me will need to have me treated. If you would like to donate to my treatment that would be so kind of you! If you would like to foster me through treatment and then add me to your family well I'd be mighty grateful! I am looking forward to meeting lots of new families.
