Dash's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Dash was confiscated from a very crowded home, got sick at the shelter, and had his kennel mate adopted without him. However, Dash is a very resilient and curious young man. He is very talkative and inquisitive. He always wants to know what is going on and will come right up to check things out. However, he does not want to be touched and will move away if you try.
Dash has fairly extensive corneal scarring on both eyes, which likely limit his vision. He can see, and probably sees movement and larger objects better than smaller ones. He loves to play with toys, including circular track toys and wand toys. He also enjoys the company of other cats.
Dash's old home included many cats and a few dogs of various sizes. In his current foster home, he lives with two other cats, one, Gus, that was confiscated with him. Gus and Dash have been getting along much better since they were both neutered. He hasn't been around dogs since his confiscation. Given his vision impairment, he would probably do better in a home with smaller, cat-friendly dogs or no dogs. Dash would probably not do well with children unless they were quiet and respectful. Right now, Dash lives in one room of his foster house. In a permanent home, where he can be part of the regular activities of the house, he will probably blossom into a very sweet cat, given time to adjust.
Dash's adoption fee of $50.00 includes his neuter, microchip, FIV and FLV test, and current Rabies vaccine.
