Dart's story
His unique markings draw you in; his sweet personality makes you stay. While underweight at 7 pounds, what delightful Dart lacks in girth he makes up for in geniality, thriving on cuddles and pets once he knows and trusts you. Having come from a hoarding situation, this moderately energetic little man is making up for lost time - he's learned "no", responds to his name, and is diligently at work on his leash, crate and house-training with small bites of hot dog as his highly-prized reward. He loves being in the company of other playful dogs, is curious but unsure about toys, and enjoys riding in the car. When he's especially excited he'll do a very cute little prance that his foster mom has dubbed "the tap dancing pony" - usually around meal times. Eager to please and to love and with much still to learn, what Dart needs now is a patient and loving home, preferably with another playful pup or two, to bolster his confidence and complete his training and education so that he can finally come fully into his own.
