Darcie's story
Darcie is a fun loving 2-3 year-old terrier mix. She had been shot with a pellet when she was about a year old which caused her to be paralyzed in her hind limbs. Her foster home did some rehab with her to try and regain her ability to walk, but without much success. She is able to occasionally get her hind end moving under her. She can use a cart, but does prefer to scoot herself around. Dont let her disability fool you though. She can play a mean game of fetch and she has no problem playing with and bossing around the other dogs in her foster home. She loves getting pets and love from people and is always the first one to greet a visitor at the door. Darcies favorite toy is a giggle ball, and she will chase it all over the room!
Darcie is looking for a home to call her own. Her ideal home would be one where she can be herself. She plays well with other dogs, but can be a bit possessive over high value toys and bones. As with most paraplegic dogs, she is special needs and requires a bit more care. But what she lacks in physical ability, she makes up for with heart. This girl is an absolute love.
She does have her own cart that she will go to her new home with. For more information call .
