Dallas's story

　　My name is Dallas 8 and Im a female black Labrador. I am about 7 years old and 70 lbs. I was turned into DLRR as my family was having a baby and didnt want a dog around. My dad was sad to let me go as hed had me since I was a puppy. My dad had trained me as a bird dog but had gone gun-shy and couldnt do that anymore. I dont like loud noises but am still a really good girl. I am polite and know basic commands like sit and come. I am very quiet and hardly ever bark. I love my food but take treats gently. I walk well on a leash and will come when called if I am off leash. I love water and to swim. I have been in a home with cats and other dogs and have been around children. I have even been introduced to some farm animals and didnt react at all, I am just a sweet gentle girl who gets along with everyone. I am housebroken and know how to use a doggy door. I usually sit and wait for permission to get on the sofa or bed, but I love to have soft places to sleep and enjoy hanging out and snuggling with my people. I still enjoy toys and to chase a tennis ball, I will still play with other playful dogs but am not very high energy so dont need another doggy friend. When I came to DLRR I was found to have ear infections and dry skin so the vet recommends I stay on a grain free diet in my new home as I may have allergies. I have almost finished my ear treatment but would be better staying on an allergy medication. Otherwise I am a happy and healthy girl. My foster mom says I really am wonderful and has never had such a well behaved dog before.
