My story
Dallas is a 5-year-old female German Shepherd who must be spayed before she is adopted. She came to PAHS as a stray who was found out in the county and her owner never came to reclaim her. Dallas has a medium length coat that is solid black with the exception of a tiny bit of white on her front feet and a small white spot on her chest. Dallas weighs 61 pounds; and she needs to gain a little bit of weight. She is a very active and high strung dog who has quite a bit of energy. Dallas would be best suited to an adopter who would have time to help her channel her excess energy with frequent walks and a nice fenced in yard where she could get plenty of exercise. She is working on her leash training but she needs work on acceptable manners on a leash. Dallas is good with other dogs but would not be good in a home with younger children due to her level of energy. She would be fine with older children. Dallas needs an experience owner who is willing to devote time to train her. She is very smart and highly trainable but it will take time and commitment for her to learn what is acceptable behavior. A dedicated owner will help her achieve her full potential as a wonderful dog.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dallas 35071, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
