Daisy Mae's story
Hi Everybody! My name is Daisy Mae and boy am I a lucky girl! My foster mommy and daddy were leaving Walmart one hot Saturday morning when they saw a pickup with a large sign that read, Free Puppies! Mommy stopped and after speaking to the people found out that they were getting rid of me and my 11 siblings!! They told her that if they couldnt get rid of us we were all going to something called a kill shelter. Mommy picked me out of everyone and once I gave her my saddest puppy eyes she told them I was going with her.
Daddy held me tight until we got home and thats when I met my fur siblings; two English Bulldogs and a Chow/Shep named Fenway Hes my favorite because he plays as hard as I do. We have so much fun playing in our backyard, but mommy and daddy gave me my own room that they call a crate and I love it! They said its so I can get plenty of sleep and learn to potty outside. Im better at the sleeping than the potty thing, but Im only 9 weeks old so they said thats okay right now. They said Im a very smart girl, so they know Ill get it.
Just a couple more things, mommy and daddy have two chickens and I dont even try to get in to pester them. I was curious at first but not anymore. Like I said, mommy and daddy say Im very smart and I agree! They also say that I have a very sweet temperament and that Im going to be beautiful. My mommy is a Pointer and my daddy is a Black Lab. I have black eyes and a little black nose. My foster uncle says that I look like a puppy that they would use on TV or in the movies because of how pretty I am. I would have to agree. Do you?
Meet Daisy Mae, Labrador/Pointer mix (mom Pointer and dad Black Labrador), 9 weeks old, weights 18 pounds and will grow to be at least 60 pounds. Daisy Mae was rescued out of a Wal-mart parking lot where she and her siblings were given away for free or the next stop was the kill shelter. Her rescuer was only able to save her. Daisy Mae is gets along fine with her fosters two English Bull dogs and Chow/Shepard mix plus chickens. She at first chased them, but quickly learned to coexist with them. Daisy Mae is going through crate and potty training and is a very smart puppy.
Thus far Daisy Mae has had one set of puppy vaccines and dewormed and will receive her second puppy vaccine July 2nd so she will be ready to go to a forever home the weekend of July 7th.
