Curly *NEEDS FOSTER*'s story

　　Meet Curly! Curly has been in and out of likely unstructured homes since she was a puppy and is in dire need of restructuring. She is spunky and full of fun, with a touch of needing to be understood. She has a very energetic, always-on-the-go personality and she needs help learning how to cope and reel that in. Overall, she adores playing with other tolerant dogs, can be ok for a dog-savvy cat, and needs a home without kids due to her history. Outside of playing with other dogs, she does likely need further mental stimulation stimulation (this can be discussed further upon serious inquiry). She is an incredible girl that deserves someone equally incredible to give her just the right home!

　　On a recent sleepover, Curly LOVED playing with her caretaker's resident dogs, barked a bit at her cat (but eventually ignored to play with the dogs instead) and shared the couch with her while chewing a nylabone. She took a little time getting used to her crate, but with the help of a stuffed kong, she eventually fell asleep and stayed quite all night!

　　Curly is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met (please email us first). All animals from DHA are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.

　　Curly is 1 of several animals that is seeking a "Breakaway Buddy" foster. This requires dedication and experience to help them become the best dogs they can be, while also prepping them for successful homes down the road (or maybe even yours)! If you are genuinely interested in one of these special dogs, you MUST make an appointment by emailing Steph at [email protected]. Please include the following info: the dog you're interested in, who lives in your home (humans and animals), if you are able to keep your home absolutely secure from visiting children during the foster period, and your experience.
