Crucifix- rare and amazing story

　　I obtained this crucifix from Fr. John because of its

　　sublime beauty and the Lords Sacred Heart is

　　external and because of the deeper meaning

　　of the unusual story that came with it.

　　The story of the Crucifix as told to me by him is this:

　　A German soldier bought a Crucifix just like this

　　during the War. It is a wooden Crucifix that

　　measures 13 inches wide and 24 inches long.

　　He showed it to his mother and told her the

　　great amount of money he spend on it.

　　His mother complained that she could have used the money

　　for sewing supplies, or for cooking needs, or for hand tools

　　for the garden. The next day she woke up and saw that

　　the Lord had punished her.

　　The soldier told the maker of the Crucifix what happened:

　　where upon he made 11 more. This is one of the 11 Crucifixes.

　　The deeper meaning of the story you can now ascertain

　　which is no amount of money spent on God is never too much.
